Wireless Access Denied: Authorization Failure

Why Am I Receiving This Error?

The University of Pennsylvania's Information Security office has received reports of suspicious network activity by a computer you recently connected to Wireless PennNet. This activity poses a security risk to the University community.

Your access to Wireless PennNet has been disabled until it has been verified by your Local Support Provider that your machine is no longer a security risk. Your Local Support Provider has been notified and can request that your wireless access be restored after your computer has been checked.

Please contact your Local Support Provider for assistance.

How Can I Correct This Problem?

Students living in the College Houses receive computing support from Information Technology Advisors (ITA), fellow students who also live in their residence. Students should go to a computer lab and submit a queue case on www.rescomp.upenn.edu.

Students living off-campus, in Sansom Place East or West, receive their computing support from ISC's Computing Resource Center (CRC) and First Call (215-573-4778). The CRC is located at Sansom Place West, 3650 Chestnut St., Suite 202, and is open 2-4:30, M-F. Students in a fraternity or sorority house can work with a Greek ITA for support. For more details, contact First Call (215-573-4778).

Primary computing support for faculty and staff is, in almost all cases, provided by their school, center, or department. If in doubt about who to contact as your primary computing support provider, call First Call (215-573-4778) for a referral.
